Western Front – Battle of Normandy
For a number of years we have been taking Tours to the Normandy Battlefields particulary during the Anniversary commemorations of D Day.
We have now further developed this Tour and are able to offer it on a bespoke basis.
This Tour concentrates on the British and Canadian sector of Gold, Juno and Sword beaches including Arromanches, Port en Bessin, Ver sur Mer etc together with the Airborne Bridgehead including Pegasus Bridge, Benouville, Ranville Merville Battery, Breville and the Bois de Bavent etc.
Next is the American sector including Omaha, Utah and St Mere Eglise and Film locations, where the famous Band of Brothers were in action.
We then move inland to the Killing fields of Normandy and after visiting Bayeux we explore the Bocage area around Tilly sur Seulles, Rauray, Fonteney le Pesnel and Hill 112.
Finally we move further south into the area of the Falaise pocket and the infamous Corridor of death around St Lambert, Moissy and Mont Ormel and Vimoutiers.
The above Tour is based on 5 days, 4 nights.
Hotels are 3 star in the Caen area with all usual facilities. If possible and reasonable all requests to visit certain cemeteries and / or locations will be considered. Available Places for the above event:- 10
