Eastern Front 1944 - The Battle of Narva. (Estonia).
In January 1944 the German forces of Army Group North situated in the Northern most area on the Eastern front were forced to withdraw into Estonia from Russia after the Soviet offensive out of the Oranienbaum Pocket and Leningrad, a new defence line being drawn up at the Narva River the traditional boundary between Estonia and Russia.
